Firefighter Steven Koeser, 33, of Kiel, was killed and eight firefighters were injured Dec. 29 while fighting a fire in a dumpster outside Bremer Manufacturing Co.
Koeser, a 15-year veteran of the department, died at the scene. Seventeen firefighters were fighting the blaze, and all were within 50 feet of the dumpster when it exploded.
